Family Reunion Agenda
When it comes to organizing a family reunion it is best if you do not do everything on your own. Rather what you should do is get as many members of your family involved as possible. One of the first things to do before you actually get down to producing the family reunion agenda is set up an organization committee.
It is best if you choose those family members who have the time available to help in getting everything organized in an efficient manner. If you can go for those family members who are willing to volunteer to help with organizing the event rather than having to ask someone to do it.
Once you have the organization committee organized you can now get on with planning the event itself. So the first thing that you need to do is arrange a convenient date when all those involved in the planning and execution of the event can meet. It is at this first meeting as the leader of the committee you should discuss and then delegate the various tasks and responsibilities to the committee members.
It is during this first meeting that the most important decisions will be made in relation to the reunion. Such decisions as where the event is going to be held, what the budget is, what activities and events will take place during the reunion. Also just how long will the reunion last for. In most cases many people choose to make theirs into a weekend long event simply because many family members will be traveling some distance to the event.
After the decision has been made on where and when the event will take place and everything has been booked. Then the committee can start getting involved in the much finer details of setting up the agenda for the reunion.
When producing an agenda for such an event it is important that those involved in setting it up take into account all of the people that will be attending. Therefore they will need to include within this activities that both young and old alike will want to participate in.
Also it is important that as well as providing activities which are solely for the young or old to participate in. You also need to include within the agenda activities, which everyone can get involved with together. In a later article we look at various activities and games that are ideal for including at a family reunion.
When it comes to getting the family reunion agenda organized listen to those around you who are involved in organizing the event. Take time out to discuss the pros and cons of anything that you are considering including during the weekend. But also do not forget to slot in time that those attending can have to themselves. Remember both the very young and the very old family members will need time to relax and regain some energy.
Family Reunion Tip #1
A great idea for making much more personal nametags for your family reunion is to ask each family member to send in a passport size photo of themselves with their reply. Then as each one arrives, stick this on to some card and then arrange to have each one laminated after their names have been included on them.
Family Reunion Tip #2
It is best that you choose a date well in to the future. This will in turn then give all of those you invite to the reunion plenty of time to plan and organize any time they need to take off or out of their busy schedules.
Family Reunion Tip #3
When it comes to choosing the right family reunion theme it should be the one that most people will enjoy participating in. So another way of ensuring that you have chosen the right theme is by getting those invited to vote on the one that they like the best. Then inform the rest of what the majority have voted for and base your reunion around this particular theme.
